MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce has announced the cancellation of its upcoming Legislative Coffee, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 3.
The cancellation follows Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe's formal call for a special legislative session set to begin Monday, June 2. As a result, Senator Rusty Black and Representative Jeff Farnan, who were slated to speak at the event, will be unable to attend due to their legislative duties in Jefferson City.
The Chamber has not announced a rescheduled date at this time. The Legislative Coffee is a regular event designed to give community members a chance to hear updates directly from state lawmakers and ask questions about current legislative issues.
