WASHINGTON —It's no secret that President Trump is a big football fan. While hosting small business owners at the White House on Monday, he also took time to ask the owners of Slap’s BBQ from Kansas City about quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
"How is Mahomes doing?" Trump said. You tell the people of (Kansas City) we love him. He's going to be OK. I hate to see that. He's a fantastic guy."
Mahomes is still recovering from knee surgery but has said he intends to play in week one of the NFL season.
