June saw Missouri's job market strengthen, with employers adding 1,300 jobs statewide, and the unemployment rate declining to 3.7%, down .1 from May, and comfortably lower than the national rate of 4.2%.
According to data from The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development, businesses across the state surpassed 3 million nonfarm jobs. The strongest sectors this month were manufacturing, construction, professional services, and finance.
Year over year, Missouri added 18,700 jobs.
