Gary Wayne Wiley, the son of Wilbur Douglas “Pinky” and Martha Beatrice “Bea” (Conn) Wiley, was born March 8, 1952, in Maryville, Missouri. He attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, graduating in 1970.
In 1975, Gary was united in marriage to Sherry Harris in Tarkio and became the parents of two children, Sarawn and Shannon. They later divorced. He was then united in marriage to Rita Rightsell and became the parents of one daughter, Shelby. They later divorced.
In the early 1980’s, Gary was employed as a bus driver for Tarkio School District until the mid 1990’s. He was then employed for YSI Academy, Tarkio in maintenance and later Eaton’s Corporation, Shenandoah, Iowa. Due to health concerns, Gary retired in 2000.
Gary enjoyed fishing and taking care of his dog named Beagle. He loved sitting on the porch, listening to music and drinking a cold beer with a cigarette in hand. Gary especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Gary passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 74.
Gary was preceded in death by parents. Survivors include children, Sarawn (Charlie) Kirwan, Tarkio, Shannon (Melissa) Wiley, Westboro, Missouri, and Shelby (Garrett) Alsup, Tarkio; grandchildren, Kaely, Kelsea, Jaeka, Azlynn, Kinley, Bexley, Skyler, Ledgen, and Gia; siblings, Denzil (Sheila) Zimmerman, Bolivar, Missouri and Linda Cottle, Country Club, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 3, 2026, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Open visitation begins 9:00 A.M., Thursday, April 2, Davis Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M.
Inurnment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio
