3 adults, 2 juveniles hospitalized after SUV, pickup crash

CALDWELL COUNTY —Five people were injured in an accident just after 6:30p.m. Friday in Caldwell County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 GMC Sierra driven by a 70-year-old Hamilton man was stopped in the crossover on U.S. 36 at Nettleton Road five miles east of Hamilton. The driver pulled into the path of a westbound 2021 Ford Explorer driven by a 58-year-old Lincoln, Nebraska woman. The SUV struck the passenger side of the pickup.

Life Flight Eagle transported the 70-year-old pickup driver to Truman Medical Center.  Caldwell County EMS transported the SUV driver, a 62-year-old male passenger in the pickup and passengers in the SUV identified as a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl both of Lincoln, Nebraska, to Mosaic in St. Joseph. All five were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
