BUTLER COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 6:40p.m. Sunday in Butler County
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Dodge Ram driven by a 45-year-old Harviell man was southbound on U.S. 67 two miles south of Poplar Bluff. The pickup rear-ended a moped driven by a 40-year-old Poplar Bluff man. The driver of the moped was ejected then was struck by a car, a semi and a an SUV. The car then rear-ended the SUV.
The moped driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the county morgue. The drivers of the car and SUV were transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
