Stephen Leo McQuinn, a resident of Stanberry, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 18th, 1940, in Stanberry, Stephen lived a life deeply rooted in his community and the land he cherished.

Stephen was a dedicated farmer, and his passion for farming was evident in his love for the wheat harvest in his younger years and his devotion to working his land and raising cows and calves. Stephen's connection to the land was not just a profession but a way of life that he embraced wholeheartedly.

A man of great faith, Stephen was a cherished member of his community and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as taking drives and exploring wherever the road might lead him. His gentle spirit and unwavering faith were a source of inspiration to all who knew him.

Stephen proudly served his country as a member of the Army National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to service and duty.

He is survived by his loving sister, Joan Luke, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory dear. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Maurice McQuinn and Stephanie Mary (Steinhauser) McQuinn, as well as his siblings, Kathleen Schafer, Vincent McQuinn, Gerald McQuinn, Francis McQuinn, Maurice McQuinn, and Sister Mary Hubert McQuinn.

A Rosary will be held in Stephen's honor at St. Columba Parish in Conception Junction, MO, on Friday, May 1st, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am, followed by a visitation from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. The funeral service will take place at St. Columba Parish at 10:30 am on the same day. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery in Conception, MO.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Columba Catholic Church.

Stephen Leo McQuinn will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love for the land, and his gentle, adventurous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
