The following are health inspections in Nodaway County. Inspections are released monthly.

Maryville High School-1429 S. Munn (9/30/26)

  1. Discussed hair restraints, salad bar temps, and some moulding work.

Maryville Middle School-525 Southhills Drive (9/30/26)

  1. Discussed cold foods not held at 41° at teacher's salad bar and service line.

St. Gregory Barbarigo-315 S. Davis (9/29/26)

Critical:

  1. Dead crickets on floor in dry storeroom. Facility has contracting for regular pest control.
  2. Discussed cold holding foods in service line.

Subway-525 N. Main (9/28/26)

Non-critical:

  1. Some mildew and stained caulking at 3-bay sink.

North Nodaway R-6 Elementary-201 E. 6th, Pickering (9/28/26)

No violations.

North Nodaway R-6 High School-705 E. Barnard, Hopkins (9/28/26)

  1. Discussed cold holding food: Tuna salad (47-52°).

Trex Mart-10043 U.S. Highway 71, Clearmont (9/24/26)

Non-critical:

  1. Frazil cups, foam cups, and lids stored on floor in storeroom.
  2. Wiping cloths not stored in sanitizer buckets.
  3. Reach-in cooler temps above 41°, but not hazardous foods.

Hwy 136 Roadhouse-602 W. Main, Burlington Junction (9/24/26)

Critical:

  1. Unlabeled spray bottle. COS.

Non-critical:

  1. Box of foam containers on the floor. COS.
  2. No paper towels at kitchen hand sink. COS.
  3. Toaster ovens need to be cleaned.
  4. Kitchen floor- grease and grime buildup. Lots of spillage behind fryers.
  5. Under boil order, obeying regulations.
  6. Unshielded lights above 3-bay sink.

West Nodaway R-1-17665 U.S. Hwy 136, Burlington Junction (9/24/26)

Critical:

  1. No water. Water plant had been down overnight. Using bottled water for hand washing and produce washing.
  2. Glue traps under canned goods overflowing with dead roaches and crickets. Same under dry goods. Kitchen fine. No live insects found.

  1. Damaged and buckled wall by unused drive-thru area.

Taco Bell-1117 S. Main (9/16/26)

  1. One dead cricket found in women's room.

Non-critical:

  1. Drive-thru soda dispenser needs to be cleaned.
  2. Grime building in corners of restroom.

  1. Mildewed caulking by garbage disposal.
  2. Discussed floor in dry storeroom- sticky?
