Sarah "Sally Barker" Turner April 8, 1942-July 23, 2025

Sarah “Sally Barker” Turner, the daughter of Dennis and Helen (Lindsay) Long, was born April 8, 1942, in Tarkio, Missouri. She attended Tarkio High School, graduating in 1960.

On August 16, 2017, Sarah was united in marriage to David Turner. She made her home in Tarkio until moving to Nevada, Missouri, where she lived until the present time.

Sarah was a babysitter, caring for numerous local children in Atchison County. She was then employed by YSI Academy in Tarkio, before being employed by Wildhorse Bar and Grill, where she was known for her amazing tenderloins. Sarah later worked for McDonalds, where she later retired.

Sarah was a member of Good News Church, Tarkio. She enjoyed cooking. Sarah passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at her home in Nevada, at the age of 83.

Besides her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by brother, Jim Bob Barker; niece, Heidi Barker. Survivors include husband, David Turner; sisters, Peggy Smith and Penny Romano; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Interment: 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2025, Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

Open visitation begins 9:00 A.M., Thursday, July 31, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio. There is no scheduled family visitation.

Memorials: Good News Church, Tarkio, Tarkio Nutrition Center, or Sally Barker Educational Trust.
