Beverly F. Garrett, 89, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Nodaway Nursing Home.
Beverly was born on October 12, 1935, in Maryville, Missouri to Oral W. and Evelyn J. (Dowden) Porter. She was a 1953 graduate of Horace Mann High School and graduated from Northwest Missouri State College, receiving a degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Early Childhood. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Rosanna Chapter Eastern Star, Modern Managers and Missouri State Teachers Association.
She married Gordon B Garrett on January 26, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 6, 2023. She was also preceded by her parents and brother-in-law, Tom Jenkinson.
Survivors include her children, Kevin (Christi) Garrett, Atlantic, Iowa, Kyle (Deb) Garrett, Maryville, Missouri, Keenan (Julie) Garrett, Valley Center, Kansas, Kara Puche (Mike Ceperley), Maryville, Missouri; grandchildren, Tara Shough, Jason (Juliana) Garrett, Nicole Garrett (Josh Martin), Brett Garrett, Derek (Megan) Garrett, Angela (Marcus) Gaeddert, Loren (Christian) Nook, Mariah Garrett, and Ryan Puche; greatgrandchildren, Regan, Aiden, Tristram, Henry, Jack, Emmie and Zoe; sisters, Karan (Robert) Arms and Janila Jenkinson.
Services 10:30am Saturday, September 20th at the First United Methodist Church of Maryville. Burial will be at Nodaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Friday, September 19th at the church. In memory of Beverly, her family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church or Health Emergency Lifeline Program.
