U.S. ethanol production fell to its lowest level since January as plants reduced output during seasonal maintenance. The Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.007 million barrels per day during the week ending September 25th. That was down 21,000 barrels per day from the previous week, but still slightly above year-ago levels.

U.S. ethanol production drops to eight-month low
