In honor of Veteran's Day, the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Royals Foundation is sponsoring free admission to the National WWI Museum and Memorial for active military members and veterans.

November 6th through the 11th, active military members and veterans along with their families will be able to tour the history museum for free.  During that time, the museum is also offering half price general admission to others in the general public.  The sponsorship marks The Royals Foundation’s third initiative supporting access to Kansas City area museums in 2026   In February, it donated $133,000 to support Free February at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, helping more than 15,000 visitors attend at no cost and over Memorial Day weekend, the Royals Foundation contributed $12,500 to the Truman Library Institute to provide complimentary admission to the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum as part of the commemoration of America’s 250th birthday.

“We are honored to help showcase the care that Matthew Naylor and his team put into telling one of the most important stories in our country’s and the world’s history,” Royals Chairman and CEO John Sherman says in a news release from the team. “Honoring and supporting veterans is a pillar of the Royals Foundation’s mission and knowing our history is critical to building the best path forward.”

The Museum’s regular hours are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Monday, with the museum being closed on Tuesdays.  On Veterans Day, November 11th, the Museum will be open from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

“There’s no better way to mark Veterans Day during the nation’s 250th than by welcoming those who have served our country,” President and CEO of the National WWI Museum and Memorial Matthew Naylor says.  “We’re proud to partner with The Royals Foundation to make that possible and to invite the community to join us.”
