ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Monday in the 400 block South U.S.73 Highway in Atchison.
A 2003 Toyota Highlander driven by Gary Bewley, 72, Atchison, was exiting a parking lot on the east side of U.S. 73, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
The Toyota and a northbound 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Walter Pierce, 61, Atchison, collided.
EMS transported Bewley to Amberwell Hospital for examination. Police released no additional details.
