Congressman Alford on Iran War, "there will be some action"

After the elections, Congress will return in what's called a "lame duck session" before a new congress is installed. But there may be some activity when it comes to the war in Iran.

The fourth District Congressman Mark Alford says though gas prices are high, and it's part of the fight against Iran.

"I fill up my Expedition every week because I drive a lot in the district, it costs me an extra $20 to fill up.  You know, for me, that's not as much of a burden as is on other people listening right now, I understand that," Alford says.  "But to me, paying that extra $20 as a guarantee that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon is worth it to me."

Alford says the president is going to ramp up attacks on Iran

"So here's what's going to happen, in my estimation, we're going to have the election on November 3rd, and President Trump is already signaling that soon afterwards there is going to be more kinetic activity, bombing," Alford explains.  "I don't know what those targets are going to be, if I did, I wouldn't tell you, but we are going to, I think, severely cripple Iran's capability to go forward."

Alford says there has to be a regime change in Iran. He serves on the spending committee for the military.
