HOLT COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 11p.m. Monday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2024 Chevy Silverado driven by a 24-year-old Fortson, Georgia man was northbound on Interstate 29 near the Mound City exit. The pickup traveled off the west side of the road and the undercarriage of the vehicle impacted an emergency crossover. The pickup became airborne and then struck the ground.
EMS transported the driver and a 23-year-old male passenger to Mosaic in St. Joseph. They were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
