Irene Rodrick passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 87, after a brief illness.
Irene was born July 10, 1938, in Burlington Jct., Missouri to Jay and Fleta (Smith) Piearson. She married Andy Rodrick on October 28, 1955. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1985. Irene was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers Alva, Noble, Harlan, and an infant Paul; and half-brothers Archie, Jerry, Russell, and Miller.
Irene had worked caring for others as a nurse’s aide in various nursing homes and providing in-home elderly care and housekeeping. A gifted cook, Irene loved preparing huge meals for loved ones. She was especially known for her delicious pies and Christmas candies. The love she poured into her cooking will remain a cherished part of her family’s memories.
Irene is survived by her son David (Kim) Rodrick and granddaughters Brianna and Brylie – who were her pride and joy. Irene is also survived by one sister, Pauline Pierson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services 2pm Saturday, February 7th at Nodaway Memorial Gardens under the care of Price Funeral Home.
