MONITEAU COUNTY —A Missouri boy drowned Tuesday in Moniteau County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old both from Latham were attempting to cross a low water crossing two miles downstream from 67333 Hazel Dell Road. Both boys were swept off a tractor by the swift water. The 12-year-old was swept downstream and was later found deceased.
The 15-year-old was able to swim to safety. The MSHP did not release any additional details.
