Gerald Francis Kramer March 25, 1941 - July 31, 2025

Gerald Francis Kramer, 84 of Stanberry, Missouri, passed on Thursday July 31, 2025, at his home.  Gerald was born on March 25, 1941, to Edward Kramer and Rose (Darlinghaus) Kramer and raised on a farm in Baileyville, Kansas.  He attended a Catholic grade school and was a 1959 graduate from Baileyville Highschool.  Gerald moved from Baileyville, Kansas after high school to Conception, Missouri and was employed at the Benedictine Convent and the Conception Abbey helping with farming.  Gerald married Patricia M. Mc Crary on October 3, 1964, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Stanberry, Missouri.  Gerald and Patricia moved to Stanberry and Gerald worked at Hawthorne’s Furniture store delivering furniture and serving the community.  Gerald and his family served the community in Stanberry with mowing yards and doing odd jobs.  Gerald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  Gerald loved his family and enjoyed many hobbies such as playing cards, gardening, mowing, cutting wood, woodworking and fixing things.  After retiring, Gerald continued to be active and always seen at Big 4 Hardware daily having a cup of coffee and visiting with his friends. Gerald was a devoted catholic and a member of St. Peter’s Church.   

His legacy leaves behind his wife Patricia.  She survives in the home.  Additional survivors one sister, Wilma (Kramer) Steinlage of Seneca, Kansas; their seven children, Angela (Dennis) Simmerman, Stephen (Tara) Kramer, Joanna (Jeff) Sullivan, Jennifer Finch, Robert (Christina) Kramer, Christina (Travis) Atkins, Jeremy (Kristine) Kramer; 16 grandchildren, Michael Simmerman, Sara Thompson, David Simmerman, Ally Henry, Raeanna Atkins, Tricia Simmerman, Lindsey Coffman, Jacob Finch, Katelyn Kramer, Jason Sullivan, Kole Kramer, Summer Atkins, Dakota Coffman, Jessica Finch, Casey Phillips, Wyatt Kramer, Emily Atkins, Cora Kramer, Elijah Atkins, Hattie Kramer, Elliot Atkins;  10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lenard Kramer, Norbert Kramer, Melvin Kramer; two sisters, Eileen (Kramer) Hasenkamp and Gladys (Kramer) Durkes.  Gerald will be missed by his family, friends and the Stanberry Community.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Stanberry, MO.  The Rosary will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday with a visitation until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.  Contributions for mass intentions can be sent to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in care of Roberson Funeral Home P.O.
