Janice Elaine Clark, 85, entered into rest August 3, 2025.
She was born in Clarinda, IA, to Darrell and Joye Welch. She was the oldest of 5 children and lived in rural Clarinda, graduating from Clarinda High School in 1958.
On May 29, 1958, she married her love, Verlin Troy Clark. They were blessed with 5 children: Troy, Leann, Diane, Jayne, and Craig. While the kids were young, she worked on the family farm. Once they all started school, she worked at Super Value in the meat department and then at the bakery. After leaving Super Value, she went to work at Taylor Pharmacy and retired after 27 years of helping the community.
She enjoyed reading, watching Clarinda A's baseball, ACS Races at Corning, Kansas City Chiefs football, and women's basketball, and loved attending or watching via livestream her grandkids play sports. She liked being outside with her animals and working with her flowers.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Verlin Clark; parents Darrell & Joye Welch; in-laws Carl & Myrtle Clark; son Troy Clark; daughter Leann Clark; sister-in-law Pat Welch; and brothers-in-law Lloyd (Patsy) Clark, Elvin Clark, and Kenneth (Anna) Clark.
She is survived by her children; Diane (John) Barr, Jayne (Curt) Holste, Craig (Kendra) Clark, daughter-in-law Sharyn Clark, siblings: David Welch, Ben Welch, Terri Murphy and Debra (Larry) Jones, grandchildren: J.W. Barr, Jodi (Tommy) Mothershead, Samantha (Travis) Hansen, Stephanie Holste, Beth (Kory) Nelson, Richard Clark, Coddy (Danie) Clark, Cale Clark, Lexi Clark, and 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many friends and extended family.
