
DICKINSON COUNTY— Law enforcement investigating a fatal fire in rural Dickinson County have made an arrest.
According to online booking records, at 5:58p.m. Tuesday, 33-year-old James Bradley Crump of Hope was booked into the Dickson County Jail on requested charges of murder in the first degree and aggravated endangering a child.
At 5:48p.m. January 26,, Deputies with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a house fire in the 1500 block of 1400 Avenue in rural Dickinson County, according to the sheriff's office. The home was fully engulfed when firefighters and deputies arrived.
Deputies contacted James Crump and a child outside the residence. Deputies were advised that Crump’s other two-year-old son was unaccounted for and may be inside the residence. After the fire was brought under control by firefighters, the two-year-old boy was located deceased inside of the residence.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of the State Fire Marshall investigated the cause of the fire.
On July 14, an arrest warrant was issued by the Dickinson County District Court for James Bradley Crump, 33, Hope, according to a media release from the Dickinson County Sheriff. Crump was arrested later that day by deputies without incident and booked into the Dickinson County Detention Facility.
