BUCHANAN COUNTY —Two from St. Joseph died in an accident just before 4a.m. Sunday in Buchanan County
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja driven by a 53-year-old St. Joseph man was westbound on MO 6 at 68th Road one mile east of St. Joseph. The driver lost ontrol of the motorcycle on a curve. The vehicle traveled off the north side of the road, struck a steep embankment and both the driver and a passenger identified as a 47-year-old woman from St. Joseph were ejected.
The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene and were transported to Rupp Funeral Home. They were both wearing helmets at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
