Beverly Jean (Cook) Mikes, 89, of Albany, Missouri, passed away September 22, 2025. She was born May 3, 1936 in Atchison County, MO to Harry and Velma (Lytle) Cook. She graduated high school in Tarkio MO in 1954.
She married Wallace E. (Gene) Hogue Jan 26,1958 in Tarkio, MO. They had 3 children, Dyan, Ricky and Robin Hogue.
She married Ramon Mikes in St. Joseph, MO in 2004.
She was a devoted stay at home Mom and Military wife.
She raised long-haired dachshunds for years and owned/operated a kennel. She was also the secretary at the Albany Methodist Church for 20+ years.
The most notable thing about her is probably the way she loved her family. She helped raise her 5 grandchildren and they were the loves of her life. She was also a devout Christian and loved Jesus Christ.
Preceded in death by her mother, Velma, brother, Delphus, husband, Wallace (Gene), Son, Ricky, Daughter, Dyan and husband, Ramon.
Survived by sisters, Mary Beth (Vernon) Akers, and Diana Vernon. Brother Mearl Cook. Son, Todd (April) Mikes, Daughter, Robin (Hogue) Bourland. Grandchildren Tyler Parkhurst (Mallory Chambers), Colton Parkhurst (Ericka), Paige Parkhurst (Kyle Redmond), Michael Bourland, Victoria Bourland, step-grandchildren, Timothy Mikes, Tiffany Vega, Devon and Draven Mikes, and bonus grandchildren, Emily Ross, Erica Ratky and Dale McLaughlin, and Nine great-grandchildren.
She spent the last days of her life surrounded by all of her children and grandchildren and countless other loved ones.
