The Maryville City Council has a new member, filling the open seat vacated by Tye Parsons, the city announced following a special meeting on Monday.
According to a news release from the City of Maryville, the City Council voted to appoint Erin Allen. Allen's term will begin Aug. 25, and she will aid in the ongoing work to address community needs, support city services and guide the future growth and development of Maryville.
"We are confident that Erin will bring valuable insight and dedication to the Council," Mayor Dannen Merrill said in the news release. "We look forward to working with her to serve our community.
Allen will serve in the role until April 2026 in the next municipal election.
