ATCHISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Tuesday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Freightliner semi driven by a 43-year-old Iowa man and a 2023 Ram 2500 driven by a 55-year-old Savannah man were southbound on U.S. 59 four miles south of Fairfax. The semi struck the driver side of the pickup as the pickup slowed to turn east on 290th Street.
Atchison-Holt ambulance transported the pickup driver to the hospital in Faifax. The semi driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
