Janice Jean Wilson entered into eternal peace on Monday evening, February 3, 2026. She was born June 27, 1931 to Bruice Allen and Katherine Clara (Trautman) Bonsall in Falls City, Nebraska.

Janice attended Clarinda Community Schools and graduated from CHS Class of 1949. She was active in drama, choir, band and orchestra, playing French Horn and violin. She married her childhood friend and longtime love, Keith D. Wilson in October of 1949 at the First Methodist Church in Clarinda. To this marriage three children were born, Ann Christine, Keith Jr., and Emily Sue.

After high school, Janice was employed in the records keeping department of the Mental Health Institute, continuing her bookkeeping skills at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital before moving over to the surgeon’s office. Her path led her to the Hy-Vee Food Store as the office accountant before she was recruited as bookkeeper at the Page County State Bank in Clarinda.

Janice and Keith took their children on many vacations to Colorado and Arkansas for visits with family. They tried to hit all the Presidential libraries in the Midwest. They enjoyed Bible studies at the church and morning coffees at McDonalds. As a couple, they enjoyed retirement and traveled many long weekends. Janice loved reading, crossword puzzles and singing in the church choir. She loved shopping and watching the latest trends in hair and clothing. Janice enjoyed sweet treats and made fudge, divinity, and chocolate cakes for her family.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Keith, her son Keith Jr., daughter-in-law Kristin, her parents, her siblings and her beloved dog Koko.

Left to celebrate her life are daughters Ann (Doug) Glick of Clarinda, Emily (Micky) Conner of College Springs, ten grandchildren: Brandon (Amanda) Cozad of Creston, Catherine (Michael) De Anda of Clarinda, Kevin Cozad of Vandalia, Ohio, Keith (Teresa) Wilson III of Harrisonville, Missouri, Michael Wilson (Misty Johnson) of Gardner, Kansas, Nichole (John) Duggan of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Paul (Amanda) Wilson of Omaha, Nebraska, Gelena Gladman (Chevy Sauer) of College Springs, Rae Jean (James) Hamilton of Clarinda, and Clara Davison of Clarinda; twenty-four great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday February 14, 2026 at Clarinda Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Rubenking officiating. Visitation and luncheon will be held following the graveside service at the Clarinda Methodist Church fellowship room.
