Sherry Starnes, 73, of Albany, Missouri, and formerly of King City, Missouri, passed away on February 8, 2026, at her home. She was born May 16, 1952, in Dallas, North Carolina, the daughter of the late James and Nellie (Johnson) Foster.
Sherry attended Hammer Memorial United Methodist Church in King City and spent many years working as a restaurant manager for TJ’s Café, where she was known for her work ethic, her kindness, and the way she made people feel welcome.
She is survived by her son, Sean (Louri) Putnam, Albany; her daughter, Jade Gordon, Cameron, MO; and her grandsons, Adam (Haylee) Putnam, Cedar Rapids, IA; Sage Putnam of Georgia; and Jonathon (Venessa) Cummings, Kansas City, MO. She also leaves behind her great‑granddaughters, Nova and Olivia Putnam, and Alba Cummings.
