Dorothy L. Porter, 94, of Essex, Iowa, entered into eternal rest at Homestead in Shenandoah, Iowa, on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Nishna Valley Funeral Home in Shenandoah. The family will greet relatives and friends with a visitation from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. at the Nishna Valley Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon prior to the service. Interment will be at Emerson Cemetery in Emerson, Iowa, immediately following the service. Memorials may be directed to Homestead Garden Fund or St. Croix Hospice Support Foundation.
