WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Kansas City, Kansas police issued a statement Wedesday afternoon to advise the public that "despite what you might be hearing, the regularly scheduled soccer practice for the Argentina National Soccer Team at Compass Mineral Fields, 1500 N 90th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, is closed to the public."

The practice is open only to pre-approved, credentialed members of the media, and confirmed guests.
The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is in charge of a multi-unit security operation to protect and escort the Argentina national team during their World Cup base camp.
