Albert Dale Stuart, 79, passed away in the caring arms of his wife, Rhonda (Arthur), at his home in Albany, MO., on Monday, October 6th, 2025, after battling lung cancer for a few months.

Dale was born on August 9th, 1946, in Stephens, MO, to Leila (Worsham) and Gus Stuart. He attended Hallsville schools and started working in Centralia as a school bus driver, farm hand for Truman Cooley, manager of the Sinclair Gas Station and as a plumber for Bryson Repair Service. In 1974 he started his own plumbing and heating business and in 1983 purchased The Campbell House nursing home and re-named it The Stuart House. His last employment was with Golden Living as an Administrator in Albany, MO.

Dale was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy (Dennis) Barela, with whom he had two sons, Tony Dale Stuart (McKenzie) of Centralia and Albert Dean Stuart of Gilbert, AZ. He looked forward to taking his two grandsons hunting and fishing and cheering for them when playing sports: Clayton (Kara) Stuart of Ankeny, IA and Tanner Stuart of Scottsdale, AZ. He enjoyed teaching kids to fish and patiently took his step-grandsons fishing; always wanting to catch the “big one”: Kamdyn Steffen and Jaspyr Wisdom, of Centralia, MO.

Being on the water fishing was his favorite past-time and he spent many hours in the boat with his sister-in-law Rhodera Ackley, her husband Brian and his special fishing partner, Heather Ackley.

Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters Betty Stone (Bruce), Mollie Strawn (Jimmy) and Quannah Anderson (Gary) of Columbia, MO., father-in-law Dorlan Arthur (Carol) of Albany, MO.

He is survived by sisters Leota Young of Joplin, MO and Frances Young (Ben) of Boonville, MO, along with many nieces and nephews.

There will be no services, and memorial donations may be sent to local animal shelters in honor of his side-kick, “Buddy”.
