Next weekend, Northwest Missouri State University is inviting students to bring their families to campus for a weekend of entertainment and athletic events for its annual Family Weekend.
The weekend, which runs September 18th through the 20th, includes free entertainment and a football game against Missouri Southern State University, as well as the Bearcat Zone tailgate at the Raymond J. Courter College Park Pavilion. During halftime of the football game, Northwest will also introduce its Family of the Year. Starting the weekend on the 18th, the University will celebrate the opening of its remodeled and expanded Martindale Hall with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at 2pm.
“Welcoming families onto campus is one of my favorite parts about SAC,” Student Activities Council Graduate Assistant Katelyn Briggs says in a news releas from the University. “Being able to let them see a new side to campus is always fun, as these students are sharing their new home and experience with their families that they are excited about. Seeing families come together and share that Bearcat pride is an awesome experience.”
